This week marks the one year anniversary of Fashionably Frost!! I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Although it’s been raining all week and I couldn’t take any pictures outdoors, I was determined to get a post in to thank all of you for your support. Continue reading

Lavender Skies
Now that spring is officially here and temperatures are beginning to climb, opportunities to wear my winter wardrobe are quickly diminishing. Before it gets too warm, I decided to take my corduroys out for a spin. I love these pants! Their lavender color is ideal for early spring. Making them the center piece of this look. Flowers don’t have a monopoly on this lavish hue! Continue reading
Well Red
This winter I’ve lived in black, grays, and other atramentous hues. With spring approaching, it’s time to emerge from hibernation and shed our winter coats. I can’t think of a better way to do so than by adding a pop red to today’s grayscale ensemble. Continue reading
The Outback
I know we still have a few weeks until the spring equinox, but I don’t think anyone told Northern California that. We’re seeing cherry blossoms in bloom, beautiful blue skies, and temperatures in the 70’s. And I am LOVING it! Today was so gorgeous I couldn’t help baring a little extra skin for the sun to kiss. 🙂 Continue reading
Excuses, Excuses
I always felt little black dresses was reserved for certain occasions. Date night, a soirée, or girl’s night out. Then I saw a quote by Karl Lagerfeld that read, “One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress.” That was the only excuse I needed to bust out my pleated LBD on a weekday afternoon. 🙂 Continue reading
An Olive Branch
One of the best things about my neighborhood is that it’s less than a mile from a farming community. Strolling down country roads flanked with green pastures is becoming my greatest escape. Whenever I need a break from the hustle and bustle of the capital city, I go where cows, sheep, goats, horses, chicken, and even turkeys are more plentiful than people. It’s this modern day Noah’s Ark that inspired me to wear a muted olive skirt today.

Sports Luxe Looks For Super Bowl XLIX
New England Patriots
Seattle Seahawks
With Super Bowl XLIX right around the corner it’s time to start planning parties, deciding on hors d’oeuvres, and of course, figuring out what to wear! 🙂 Many of my friends are huge American football fans. Every year we all get together to watch the big game. Even though I’m a much bigger basketball fan than football fan, I still want to look the part.
The Struggle
A few years ago I saw a movie called Office Space. In this satirical comedy about the work-life of a typical mid-’90’s American software company, a few characters mention something called “a case of the Mondays.” I’d never heard that term before, but when returning to work, after two weeks off, I was struggling with a serious case of the Mondays. Determined to not bring that humdrum attitude into the rest of my week, today I decided to fight back. Continue reading
Faux Real
Happy New Year!! 🙂 Since 2014 was a pretty good year for me, I decided to bring a bit of it into 2015 by remixing an outfit I wore a few months ago to speak at my sister’s women’s event. The event and my outfit were an absolute hit! So I opted to wear the ensemble again today. Continue reading
The Breakfast Club
Breakfast is by far my favorite meal of the day. And now that we’re seeing some pretty cool temperatures in Northern California I can indulge in hot cereals like malt-o-meal, grits, and oatmeal porridge.
It’s this type of morning comfort food that inspired me to wear my oatmeal colored V-neck sweater today. This winter essential is the fashion equivalent to a warm bowl of oatmeal. It’s super soft, comfy, and cozy. Continue reading
