Who creates fashion taboos? And why are we often so willing to subscribe to them? No white pants after labor day, no stripes with polka dots, no mixing black and brown… Over time, some of these fashion taboos have become the biggest fashion trends. For some reason other than stripes and polka dots I own very few printed shirts. When I see other people wearing them they look so cute and versatile. But when I see printed shirts in the store they never look quite as appealing. Does that ever happen to you? You pass over something in the store that you just couldn’t imagine yourself wearing. This incalescent weather may be protesting fall’s arrival, but coffee drinks and pastry shops beg to differs. For lattes and muffins adorn the telltale sign that fall is officially here. “What is that sign?” you might ask.
