I can’t believe it’s been 6 months since my last post! Where have I been? Well, around April of this year, after celebrating my one year blog-aversary  I fell completely out of love with my wardrobe. As much as I enjoyed blogging, I started feeling like I never had anything to wear. Or at least nothing that I felt compelled to shared with you guys.

Shortly after that, I began classes for my second master’s degree. Since then, my time has not been my own. Thus, no time for blogging. Continue reading

Lavender Skies

Now that spring is officially here and temperatures are beginning to climb, opportunities to wear my winter wardrobe are quickly diminishing. Before it gets too warm, I decided to take my corduroys out for a spin. I love these pants! Their lavender color is ideal for early spring. Making them the center piece of this look. Flowers don’t have a monopoly on this lavish hue!  Continue reading

The Outback

I know we still have a few weeks until the spring equinox, but I don’t think anyone told Northern California that. We’re seeing cherry blossoms in bloom, beautiful blue skies, and temperatures in the 70’s. And I am LOVING it! An Olive Branch

Olive skirt, striped shirtOne of the best things about my neighborhood is that it’s less than a mile from a farming community. Strolling down country roads flanked with green pastures is becoming my greatest escape. Whenever I need a break from the hustle and bustle of the capital city, I go where cows, sheep, goats, horses, chicken, and even turkeys are more plentiful than people. It’s this modern day Noah’s Ark that inspired me to wear a muted olive skirt today.

The Struggle

In this satirical comedy about the work-life of a typical mid-’90’s American software company, a few characters mention something called “a case of the Mondays.” I’d never heard that term before, but when returning to work, after two weeks off, I was struggling with a serious case of the Mondays.
