An Olive Branch

Olive skirt, striped shirtOne of the best things about my neighborhood is that it’s less than a mile from a farming community. Strolling down country roads flanked with green pastures is becoming my greatest escape. Whenever I need a break from the hustle and bustle of the capital city, I go where cows, sheep, goats, horses, chicken, and even turkeys are more plentiful than people. It’s this modern day Noah’s Ark that inspired me to wear a muted olive skirt today.

I love this skirt because although it resembles denim, it’s actually made from cotton and spandex. So it hugs you in all the right places without being restricting. I teamed the skirt up with a black and white 3/4 sleeve top and a vest that I made from cutting the sleeves off of a military jacket. Black tights kept the layered theme going. A necklace with oversized diamond shaped jewels adds a punch of glam. Black and white Herringbone wool T-strap pumps complete the look. What inspired your look today? Olive skirt, striped shirt
